Eagle
I picked
him up 2 1/2 years ago from a couple from Mtn Home who were
needing to travel frequently to Pocatello due to parents
ailing health. They knew their dogs wouldn't do well so were
attempting to find them new homes. I was in the market for a
new Weim because mine was getting older (12) and I knew I
did not want to be w/out a dog. Now, these folks had gotten
him as a 'rescue' and were told that the guy who owned him
originally thought he was a stupid dog. While he has fit in
almost perfectly w/ my family he is insanely scared to death
of my husband. While we have attemted many things, alas we
have not been able to correct this problem. We have three
kids under 7 - the dog has been great w/ them. He got along
easy w/ my other dog and w/ our cat. He is crate trained,
but does prefer to be w/ me. Travels well in the car and
will hang out in the car happily crated or not. I crate him
if I leave him home alone. He has not had any other issues
w/ any other men that he has met. I would still guess that
he would prefer a lady. He is a big, thick, strong dog -
very lab-like is physic. I do not have papers on him, but
was told he is a purebred. I did take him through Scotch
Pines Dog Training, he thrived w/ the attention and
obedience, and is very smart. Anyway, he is a great dog, but
he is not 100% happy here and deserves an opportunity to
thrive happily - thus, the reason I am putting him up for
adoption.
